MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD

Subj: Board Meeting, Minutes of October 9, 2013

1. Subject board meeting was called to order at 6:00p.m.
The following personnel were present:

Warren Ross, President Ronnie Garr, Member
Donna Morrison, Treas. Bill Pearman, Super.
Angie Billue, Secretary Bridgett Fessler, Recorder
Kimberly Jacobs, Member John Stanfield, Employee

Absent Member(s) Gladys Parks

The minutes of the last meeting were read and discussed. Ronnie -Motion, Angie-Seconded, Board unanimous to accept minutes.

Bills were reviewed and approved. Kimberly-Motion, Angie-Seconded, Board unanimous to accept all expenses.

Treasurers Report – Reference Financial Status of Accounts. CD matures on October 11. Kimberly-Motion, Ronnie-Seconded, Board unanimous to accept Financial Status of Accounts and for Bill to do with maturing CD as financially feasible.

Superintendent Report – 93 calls for the Month of September. 47 transports and 76 non-transports totaling $51,977.00 billable.

Bill presented timesheets to Warren for approval.

The Employee Appreciation dinner is being prepared by Salisbury Meat Market, Broadway Bakery, and Sherry’s Home Cook’n to patronize the businesses of the county.

The Elm tree has been cut down by Richard Hartmann, and Roger Schnetzler will remove the stump.

Our health insurance rep. is looking to possibly change our group health insurance renewal to calendar year due to the upcoming ACA changes. The change will reflect a 4% increase in premiums.

For the month of October the crew will be wearing the breast cancer awareness uniform shirts.

The Uniform Allowance will be $200.00 for full-time employees, $125.00 for part-time employees, and $ 50.00 for the newly employed personnel. Donna-Motion, Kim-Seconded, Board unanimous.

The bathroom renovation due to plumbing issues has been completed.

Snow Removal – Bill is going to speak with Mike Weimer to see if he would be interested, if so, would he concur to the same rates as the previous year. If there are changes in pricing, we will put the snow removal out for bid.

An ad will be run in the local papers one time a month for the next three months advertising the EMT class. The cost of the class will be $600.00.

The Missouri Ambulance Association meeting is October 17th. Bill and John will be attending. John will attend due to the Highway Safety Presentation being discussed and him being the Emergency Vehicle Ops instructor.

Bill presented to the Board the graphics for the new ambulance.

LEPC has asked for $1000.00 vs. the initial $500.00 for the Emergency Notification System. They are approximately $4,000.00 short of the funds needed to maintain the program. Angie-Motion, Kimberly-Seconded, Board unanimous to increase donation to $1000.

Angie-Motion, Donna-Seconded, Board unanimous to accept Superintendent’s report.

2. Old Business:

A. Roof Replacement – Moore Custom Building got the bid and projects starting the job the last week of October or the first week of November.

B. PRN Positions – Bill discussed the new employees and said that they have excelled in their orientation. The new EMT’s seem very attentive to their positions and knowledge at this stage of the orientation.

3. New Business:

A. ¼ Year Budget was discussed, no action taken.

4. Other Business: None.

Bill is still collecting information to detail the costs and duties to give to the Board. No action taken.
